I think that in humanities I should get an A because...
1. I came up with the ideas after we tried continuous ideas. We did many different models, but then I came up with the final idea, and it worked!
2. I did half of the pyramid. I glued it all together and drew the lines on the pieces of wood, before Mr. Strong cut it.
3. I put the final tuoches on it right before exhibition night so that everything was perfect for the parents and other visititors. I put the gravel in the bottom of the water spot.
The work percent was 50% for me out of 100%

I think that in life science I should get an A because...
1. I cleaned the tank whenever it pooped, shedded, or sometimes even puked. I used the net and sometimes paper towel and made sure that the newt/s had clean water so that they wouldn't get sick.
2. I made sure that the branch they had was clean and had no bacteria. I cleaned it almost every week and rinsed all the algae I could get off.
3. I made sure the filter was clean and running and that the newts weren't stuck under the filter. One time on exhibition night Lily, Nicolette's newt was stuck under the filter and almost died, but I saved it, and now it's the only live newt we have.
The work percent that I did was 50% out of 100%, so half and half!

We're getting another newt today, maybe two of them. Nicolette brought in the pyramid today and today our elective assignment was due. I did a time line and it's pretty cool!! Nicolette did the scientific and diagram of a newt. Our display is so cool! Tomorrow is exhibition night and I think that we're ready to go!

Today we have lost Chica, we have absolutely no clue where she went. Today we also started building our Mayan Pyramid. Nicolette built one, but it didn't really look or work so great. We built a new one and Nicolette painted it at home. I came up with the genius plan!!

Today we figured out that Chico is actucally a Chica. Chica is a girl! We figured this out because male newts have s stringy like attachment on the ends of their tails and Chica doesn't have it. I did the Newt part of the interpretive panels and some of the Mayan Civilization part, so basically we both combined the work. Everything is going good and done.

For the past few days we've been doing our interpretive panel. I did the Fire-Belly Newt Poster and the two brochures. For my elective assignment I'm doing the civilization timeline. Over the weekend I'm probably gonna start building everything.

Today we have come back from the weekend, we need to start work on our interpretive panel. I'm doing the brochure for the newt and the Mayan Civilization. Nicolette is working on the book for the newt and the Mayan Civilization, together we are gonna do the big interpretive panel. It should be pretty cool, at least I hope. Chico still won't eat anything we give him, it frustrates me. We might get another newt, we're not sure yet.

Today we went to the San Diego Zoo. We had to do a worksheet about many different exibits. We saw Reptiles/Amphibians, Monkeys/Gorillas, Pandas, and a lot morw. It was super fun. I also saw a Fire Salamander. Today somthing was wrong with our newt, Chico's water. We had to refill all of his water, it was a big hassle. Today was fun and had lots of hassles

Today Nicolette and I did our lesson plan. I talked about the Gods, Sacrifices, and if you were in the ancient Mayan Times. I think that we did good. We also passed out Horchata and Mayan Chocolate. I think I forgot to say that a few days ago we got our newt, Chico. He's the coolest, I might keep him, I don't really know. Everyone in our group did okay or great. I think it went good.

Today we had some project time, but not as much because we had Star Testing. Nicolette and I needed to work on our lesson plan because we had no research AT ALL. We are doing the custom topic for the Mayan Civilization. i found out some things that we could use for our lesson, and when I got home, I went to the library to get some books on the Mayan Civilization. i cam
up with this idea that we could use for our visual aid. We are going to have a box and on each side, many different topics that deal with Mayan Customs. I think we are going to do fairly well. We are also gonna have some Mayan food, probably some Mayan Chocolate Truffles, Tamales, and some Horchata. We got a lot done today.

My group finished the Steve Irwin skit, and I was the newt. I think I did a pretty good job. For the lesson plan, my partner and I are doing the Mayan Customs. Since Nicolette's mom is Mayan, I might go to her house to do the lesson plan and "interview her mom". I came up with a pretty cool idea for our assessment.

We have done our outline for the Steve Irwin skit. James is going to Steve Irwin. Nicolette and I are going to newts. All the people playing animals are gonna paint their face. PRETTY COOL! Since Nicolette bought the paint she only has to have one orange dot. That was the deal she made with the director of our group, Neil, and he agreed. my face is gonna be ALL black with orange polka dots. I hope the paint comes off.

For the past few days we've just been going over our Steve Irwin skits, bringing animals in, and a bunch of other cool stuff. My partner, Nicolette and I have been planning when to get our terrium, our animal, and our biulding supplies. Nicolette is going to get our terrium from her neighbor, we're gonna get our animal from this place called Mike's Pet Store. Hopefully we've have our animal soon!!
